Greetings from the Educational Studies Program!

It's that time of year again: registration for Splash 2012 is opening soon!
Have you ever wanted to take a class about...

-Machine Learning
-How to Commit the Perfect Murder
-Contra Dance
-Writing an Android App
-Hacking Minesweeper
-Awesome Physics
-Criminal Justice
-Backyard rockets

...or any of 600 other awesome topics? If so, then Splash is the program
for you! Splash will be running November 17th and 18th, the weekend before
Thanksgiving, on MIT's campus.

Splash registration will open on October 18th in the evening; the catalog
will be posted shortly before registration opens. As in previous years,
registration will use a lottery system. From October 18th to October 31st,
students may submit class preferences at <http://esp.mit.edu/learn/Splash>.
All preferences submitted by October 31st will be considered equally, and
there is no advantage to registering on the first day. On November 5,
lottery results will be released, and students will have the opportunity to
adjust their schedules from the pool of classes that still have space.

*New this year: insurance requirement, $40 price*
*
*Starting this year, MIT requires that all students who attend Splash must
have health insurance valid in Massachusetts. For more details on this
policy, see <http://esp.mit.edu/learn/Splash/medicalFAQ.html>.

This year the price of Splash will increase to $40 for the entire weekend.
As always, generous financial aid is available.

*Join us for the Parents' Program!*

You're invited to join other Splash parents on the campus of MIT for a
series of free talks during the Fall 2012 MIT Splash.
