We’re emailing to remind you to register for Spark 2026, a two-day learning extravaganza for 7th–10th graders with nearly 100 classes! Taught by MIT students and community members, the classes feature diverse and fun topics like:

Registration

The deadline for submitting your class preferences in the class lottery is 11:59PM EST on Sunday, March 1. Register now on our website! <http://esp.mit.edu/learneel>


If you want a full schedule (maximum learning!), we recommend ranking 3 classesand starring at least 7 classes per time block.


All submissions by the deadline (March 1st) will be treated equally, so take your time to look through the catalog.After you get your initial schedule (around March 4th), you will be able to modify it during a first-come first-serve registration phase!


Cost and Waivers

There is a $70 feeto attend Spark (including lunch for both days). However, ESP offers generous financial aid, and we encourage anyone who needs it to request aid by filling out the financial aid application during registration. Payment will open next week after you receive your lottery results.


Parents and students MUST fill out a two-part waiver <https://esp.mit.edu/sparksw>. After parents sign the form, students will receive another link in their email to sign it as well. The waiver is not complete until BOTHpeople sign. Please email us at spark at mit.edu <mailto:spark at mit.edu>with any questions.


Other Logistics

We have a new discounted hotel block with a deadline of 2/26 (Thursday) at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel; find the most updated information at https://esp.mit.edu/hotels <https://esp.mit.edu/hotels>.


We will send emails to Spark students in the weeks leading up to Spark, so make sure you regularly check the email addressthat you registered with.
