Thank you for signing up at <esp.mit.edu>. You are receiving this email
because you wanted to learn more about the programs we run.

We recently opened student applications for Junction, one of ESP's two
summer programs. Junction is a *non-residential* program for Boston-area
students, typically those who will have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
by the start of the summer. Each year at Junction, about 100 motivated
students join us to learn about advanced academic topics, meet new friends,
and enjoy an intellectual challenge in a fun and stimulating environment.
Junction meets weekday evenings from July 7 to August 14 on MIT's main
campus.

This year, Junction is offering eight course choices in a wide variety of
subjects. Crack ciphers in *Cryptographic Security*, explore physics beyond
Newton in *Advanced Classical Physics*, debate the meaning of it all
in *Philosophy
through Russian Literature*, or see if we've got a course on your favorite
subject at <https://esp.mit.edu/learn/Junction/2014/cores.html>. Junction
courses are taught at the college level and expect students to spend
significant time outside of class on readings, assignments, and projects.

For more information or to apply, visit <https://esp.mit.edu/learn/Junction>.
Since admission to Junction is selective, it is important that students
take the time to write well thought-out responses to the application
questions.

*We will consider equally all applications received before April 25, after
which the application will be closed*. Depending on the number of
applications we receive, we may re-open admissions at a later date, but as
this is not guaranteed we strongly recommend you do not miss the April 25
deadline.

If you have any questions regarding Junction, don't hesitate to visit us on
the web at <https://esp.mit.edu/learn/Junction> or email us at <
junction at mit.edu>.

Information about ESP's other summer program, Summer HSSP, will become
available in May. Summer HSSP will meet once per week on weekends, and is
open to students in grades 7-12.

We look forward to seeing you at our programs this summer!
