Hello from MIT's Educational Studies Program!

If you are looking for something fun, exciting, and enlightening to do this
summer, consider taking part in an ESP summer program! Over the summer we
offer two long-term programs: HSSP and Junction.

HSSP (Summer 2010): Summer HSSP is a seven-week summer program for 7th -
12th grade students looking to explore a subject of interest. Students can
select up to three different classes from the extensive course catalogue --
past classes have ranged from Molecular Biology to How to Turn a Pea into
the Sun! You can find out more about HSSP at
http://esp.mit.edu/learn/HSSP/index.html

Dates: HSSP will run from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM every Sunday, from July 11th to
August 22nd.
Registration: Registration opens in mid-May so check back then!
Cost: $20 (financial aid is easily available).

Junction (Summer 2010): Junction is a six-week summer program for 9th - 12th
grade students who want to take an evening college-level course over the
summer. Students take a core class that meets for two hours, four nights a
week, and eat dinner with their teachers and peers on three of those nights.
Students also choose from a daily selection of diverse seminar classes. You
can find out more about Junction here:
https://esp.mit.edu/learn/Junction/index.html.

Classes: Core classes include Chinese Language and Culture, Dynamic Earth,
Introduction to Existentialism, Aeronautical Engineering, and more.
Additionally, the seminar class offerings for Junction core students vary
from hobby classes like "Chainmail" or "Sidewalk Art" to science and math
classes like
"Evolutionary Genetics" or "Intro to Calculus." More details are available
online.
